Current Job Opportunities

Aurora House is expanding and we are currently looking to increase our Team. We are looking for Editors and Proofreaders, Book Promotion team members, and Publishers.

Editors: If you have manuscript editing experience we would love to talk with you. We are looking for people who have professional qualifications in Editing/Proofreading. You will be required to edit manuscripts with both copy and structural editing. We require a small editing test to assess your editing experience. Please download the test at the end of this document, and return with your application. 

Proofreaders: For the proofreading position, you will need editing knowledge and experience. As for the editors, we require an editing test to see where your proofreading is at. Please download the editing test and return with your application. 

Book Promotion: For the book promotion position you will be required to set up book promotion with Amazon KDP, paid online booksites, write and send out press releases. Email full book promotion information to bookshops in Australia. Organise book trailer for premium book promotion. Set up report for author at end of book promotion.

Publishers:  As this position requires checking of PDFs and ebooks, the applicant will need editing and proofreading experience. The position entails working with the authors to complete the publishing of their book, checking through the PDF, ebooks, and galley print of the book to ensure nothing has slipped through. Uploading the files to Ingram. Organising book orders for the authors. Adding details to databases. Liasing with the authors.

All positions have direct contact with the author to ensure a smooth workflow.

Full training will be given for the Book Promotion and Publisher positions.
