Before Scott Newman started writing The Stones of Power series, he completed a carpentry apprenticeship and dedicated his life to the building industry. Given his fascination with fantasy fiction novels, he was bound to write his own one day. He currently lives on the New South Wales south coast, and continues to write about more books about The Stones of Power.
After his father is murdered before his eyes, bringing to light his latent magical powers, he is forced into a quest to find the other stones of power, before the evil wizard Deldamar. Leaving his small village of Elisar, he begins his quest by setting off with his brother Alex and a few other companions, searching for the Stone of Water.
Along the way he is separated from his companions by a magical trap set by Deldamar. Continuing on he travels to the legendary magical city of Spheria, where he enters the impenetrable crystal sphere and learns of his destiny and how he must achieve it.
5 STAR Readers Favourite Review – Reviewed by Jennifer Ibiam
The Stone of Life by Scott Newman is a riveting tale of survival. This book features magic, romance, sorcery, and more. I felt the characters gave off the Justice League vibe, with Superman, Batman, Flash, and the team warring against Steppenwolf and his cronies. So if you want a paranormal story that will make you hold your breath, read this novel. The plot, development, and storyline were brilliant and had depth. I loved many characters, from Michael to Alex, Tomison, Keira, and Julia. The Stone of Life was captivating, fast-paced, and action-packed. It was also unpredictable so I didn’t know what would happen the next minute. The tension was high, but Berrock helped with humor. I couldn’t stop laughing at his reaction to having an emergency wife. Scott is a talented writer, and I can’t wait to read the next installment of this series.
